  1. The Arctic Wolves are found in Northern parts of Canada, Alaska, Greenland, Iceland and Europe.
  2. They are smaller and bulkier than grey wolves.
  3. They have thick warm fur to keep them warm in the harsh Arctic temperatures.
  4. Their white fur helps them camouflage in the snow.
  5. They have dark irises for additional protection to eyes in high glare environment.
  6. They are known to be incredibly versatile and adaptive animals.
  7. They spend five months in total darkness.
  8. They prey on lemmings, arctic hares and assorted rodents.
  9. They also hunt Musk Ox as a pack, because of the ox’s huge size.
  10. They make their dens in caves, rock outcroppings and shallow depressions.
  11. Arctic wolf pups are born in the months of May and June in litters of 2 to 3.
  12. They have an average lifespan of 7-10 years.
