- Somali cats are long haired Abyssinian cats that have their origin in north Africa.
- However, they are now mainly found and bred in The United States of America.
- They are thought to appeared from an Abyssinian breeding program.
- A lot of bottle-brush tailed kittens were born with long, fluffy coats.
- Interestingly, unlike other long haired cats, they shed very less hair.
- They are active. Intelligent, playful and curious by nature.
