  2. They belong to the hound group of dogs.
  3. They grow to an average size of 40cm and weigh around 15kg.
  4. On an average, they live to be around 14 years old.
  5. They are known to have a lot of Stamina.
  6. They are a popular choice as hunting hounds for deer hunting in Northern Norway and Sweden.
  7. In Finland, they are used to assist in hare and fox hunting.
  8. Their medium sized body and short legs make them an ideal choice for roe deer hunting.
  9. Roe deer are nervous and need slow moving hunters in areas with heavy snow.
  10. They are not usually found as companion animals.
  11. They are known to have an even temperament and are not overly aggressive or shy.
  12. They are alert, self-possessed and affable.
  13. It is uncommon to spot a Drever outside Europe.
