  5. Interestingly, though they appear to be not that intelligent at first, they are actually an intelligent breed of dog.
  6. They are also quite adaptable and can live outside as well as inside.
  7. They are funny and social dogs which get along really well with children.
  8. They are also known to get along very well with other dogs, other pets and also visitors.
  9. They need a lot of physical and mental exercise and need to be kept busy and active.
  10. They are so good and intuitive around children, that they are also known as babysitters.
  11. As they were originally bred to be herd dogs, their herding instincts are very strong even today.
  12. So much so, that they not only herd livestock but also family members.
  13. Instead of biting and nipping, they push the family members away from dangerous people and objects.
