  1. Javanese cats are a breed of longhaired cats, known to have originated in North America.
  2. They grow to an average size of around 60cm and weigh around 4.5kg.
  3. On an average, they live to be around 14 years old.
  4. They are very loving, gentle and affectionate breed of cats.
  5. They were also one known as the Balinese cats without their typical modern markings or colorings.
  6. Javanese cats may be Blue, lilac, fawn, cream, brown. black or white in color.
  7. They are directly related to the Siamese cat and the Balinese cat.
  8. Therefore, their features closely resemble that of a Siamese cat.
  9. They have inherited the assets and defects of their ancestors, though the defects have mostly been bred out through extensive breeding.
  10. Javanese cats have very soft and shiny fur.
  11. They absolutely adore human attention and that makes them a very popular as household cats.
  12. They get quite distressed if left on their own as they are very sociable.
  13. They are very calm, devoted and affectionate towards other animals as well as humans.
  14. They are also known to be quite noisy as a domestic breed of cats.
