  1. Bull Mastiffs are large dogs, native to Great Britain.
  2. As the name suggests, they belong to the Mastiff family of dogs.
  3. They grow to an average size of 69cm and weigh around 59kg.
  4. On an average, they live to be around 10 years old.
  5. They may be brown, black, tan fawn or cream in color.
  6. They are devoted, alert, calm, loyal and fearless.
  7. With the people they are familiar with, they are also very loving.
  8. They are very protective and are known to defend their owners against ant threat or perceived threat.
  9. Interestingly, they do not attack to protect, they just knock down the intruder with their huge frame.
  10. They get very attached to their families and do very well when they live inside with them.
  11. Early socialization for them is essential because of their wariness to strangers and their huge size.
  12. Though they get along very well with children, parental supervision is required because of their large size.
  13. They may sometimes get along well with other dogs and sometimes may not.
  14. They need to be trained from a very early age because of their independent nature.
