  1. Grizzly Bears are subspecies of brown bear found in the western North-American Uplands.
  2. They are also known as the Silvertip Bear.
  3. Male Grizzly bears can be 3m tall when standing on their hind legs.
  4. The Grizzly Bears have a humped look on their back because of the enormous muscles.
  5. They are Known to be extremely aggressive and territorial.
  6. They are solitary mammals which come together near the streams to catch Salmon.
  7. Though territorial, they stay out of each other’s way while fishing salmon as there is plenty for everyone.
  8. Salmon seems to be the Grizzly Bears’ favorite food.
  9. They are omnivores feeding on both plant and animal matter.
  10. They are notorious for their aggressiveness with humans and other animals.
  11. Due to their size and aggressiveness, they have no known natural predators.
  12. The female Grizzly Bear gives birth to a litter of cubs every alternate year.
  13. The mother Grizzly Bear is fiercely protective of her cubs.
  14. Unfortunately, less than 10% of the Grizzly Bear cubs make it to adulthood.
  15. Human hunting has made this species an endangered one today.
