  2. They were meant to be fighting dogs but today they are ideal companion dogs.
  3. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is stocky and muscular with a short and tight coat.
  4. Although they look aggressive, they are gentle and affectionate dogs who love people.
  5. They have earned the nickname “nanny dogs” because of their love for children.
  6. They aren’t recommended for first-time dog owners since they can be difficult to train.
  7. They are energetic and athletic dogs, needing their daily share of exercise and play.
  8. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is friendly and hence are not good guard dogs.
  9. They don’t do well with other dogs and need to be leashed when outside.
